Angie Boyd-Chambers Named Chief Marketing and Communications Officer for Saint Thomas Health

Angie Boyd-Chambers has been promoted to Chief Marketing and Communications Officer for Saint Thomas Health.  Boyd-Chambers, formerly Senior Director of Corporate Marketing and Communications, joined Saint Thomas Health in 2006 as Director of Public Relations for Saint Thomas Rutherford Hospital in Murfreesboro.  Saint Thomas Health is part of Ascension, the nation’s largest Catholic and non-profit health system.

Over the past 11 years with Saint Thomas Health, Boyd-Chambers has been responsible for brand journalism and media/public relations, digital and traditional marketing, physician marketing and communications, strategic partnerships and internal communications.  She has worked with executives and key stakeholders to develop and execute comprehensive and integrated marketing and communications plans that support Saint Thomas Health’s strategic initiatives.  Some of her key accomplishments include directing marketing and public relations for the re-branding of Saint Thomas Health by creating a unified identity to bring all hospitals and ancillary services under one common name, as well as leading communications for the re-branding of Saint Thomas Medical Partners.  Boyd-Chambers also led public relations and marketing efforts for the $267 million Saint Thomas Rutherford Hospital replacement facility on Medical Center Parkway in Murfreesboro.  Boyd-Chambers also served as Director of Community and Physician Services for Saint Thomas Health. 

Boyd-Chambers received a Bachelor of Science in Mass Communications with an emphasis in public relations from Middle Tennessee State University and a Master of Arts in Public Relations from Full Sail University in Winter Park, Florida.  She also received a Foundation of 21st Century and Advanced Leadership Certificate from Lipscomb University. 

Boyd-Chambers currently is a member of the Nashville CABLE Board of Directors and is Vice President of Public Relations and Marketing for the organization.  In 2015, Boyd-Chambers was named an honoree of ATHENA International, a non-profit organization that supports, develops and honors women leaders.  She has also served as a board member of ATHENA International.  In 2014 she was added to the Wall of Fame of the Mass Communications department at Middle Tennessee State University.  Boyd-Chambers served as co-chair of the 2014 Rutherford County Heart Ball, benefitting the American Heart Association of Greater Nashville.  In 2011, she received the Rising Star award for Rutherford CABLE, a professional women’s leadership organization.  She was Director of Communications and a member of the Rutherford CABLE Board of Directors in 2009.  Boyd-Chambers also served as Co-Chair of Rutherford Go Red for Women in 2007.  

Angie and her husband Matt live in Brentwood with their three children Cole, Cason and Corinne.
