Chris Mims is used to seeing sick patients.  He works as a nurse and health care partner at MissionPoint in Nashville, Tennessee.  However, during a recent trip to Saint Thomas Midtown Hospital, a part of Ascension, Chris wasn't in his uniform and he wasn't getting paid.  In fact, it was quite the opposite.  He was paying it forward.

For the 2nd year in a row, Chris won a Christmas contest on the Ellen DeGeneres Show.  As he describes it, he hit the lottery twice.   In winning the 12 Days of Giveaways contest, he got nearly $4,000 worth of prizes and gift cards.  Instead of keeping everything for himself, he decided this year he wanted to give it all away.  He started his journey of gift-giving at Saint Thomas Midtown's Intensive Care Unit.  He gave away more than $500 worth of Ellen DeGeneres socks and blankets from the talk show host and comedian's clothing line.

Chris is also giving away the prizes and gift cards to various other communities in Nashville who need it most including $500 worth of backpacks to the homeless and $250 of toys for abused children.

Now, that's the Christmas spirit.
